Good Bacteria: Probiotics and Prebiotics

There are two absorption systems in your body. Food that is easily broken down is absorbed into your upper intestinal tract. If you cannot absorb a particular food, it goes to the lower intestinal tract (colon), where bacteria (in your colon) ferment it to smaller products that can be absorbed.

Your colon is loaded with good and bad bacteria. Examples of bad bacteria are clostridia that are kept in check by good bacteria. If you take an antibiotic that knocks off the good bacteria, the clostridia can overgrow and cause horrible bloody diarrhea and you can die if you are not given special antibiotics, specific to kill clostridia, such as metronidazole and vancomycin.

The good bacteria break down soluble fiber to form chemicals such as short chain fatty acids that are absorbed into your bloodstream and travel to your liver where they block the liver from making cholesterol and help to prevent heart attacks. These short chain fatty acids also reduce inflammation, so they help to control the horrible bloody diarrhea and ulcers caused by Crohn's disease. They also reduce swelling and pain of arthritis, diabetes and psoriasis, and some studies show they may even improve your immunity to help you to kill germs.

One example of friendly bacteria is lactobacilli, found in live-culture yogurt. However, lactobacilli do not thrive in your intestines and disappear if you don't eat yogurt every day. Most commercial yogurts do not contain live cultures; check the labels if you seek this benefit.

Foods that cannot be absorbed in your upper intestinal tract pass to your colon and form the food for the huge colony of friendly bacteria there. These include whole grains, beans, seeds, vegetables and nuts. The part of these foods that encourages the growth of good bacteria is most likely the soluble fiber.

So probiotics are living microorganisms, the good bacteria, that live in the colon and reduce inflammation and help prevent and treat Crohn's disease, psoriasis, arthritis, and perhaps e! ven cert ain types of cancers.

Let's Dispel Some Acne Myths

It is the bane of a person's existence. Everybody gets it; everybody hates it. And once you have it, prepare to be tormented, embarrassed and humiliated. Such a small bump, so much at stake. So what is this little bundle of horror? What else but the dreaded pimple!

A pimple, or acne as some people calls it, is a dreaded red, swollen bump in the face. Nobody is spared from having it. Male or female, American, Chinese or Puerto Rican, they all have gotten it at some points of their lives and may even still have it. It is like a universal language; it is like a right of passage in a person's life. Acne Myth Number 2

Improper Diet can cause acne. Certain foods that are oily like French fries and junk food can cause acne to erupt in our face. But scientific studies have not discovered any connection between these two. So this means that food does not cause acne. Skin Cancer the Uncovered Truth

Skin cancer strikes an estimated three million people a year worldwide making it the most common of all types of cancer. We know the main cause of most skin cancer cases and we know how to prevent the vast majority of them. PCTs Refuse to Fund Extended Opening Hours

PCTs that want practices to extend opening hours without paying them for the extra work have been condemned by GPs.

Under a scheme being rolled out across seven PCTs in the North East London SHA, practices will be offered cask to cover additional staff costs to enable them to open from 8am to 8pm for six or seven days a week for up to nine months.

PCTs will fund up to eight additional two-and-a-half-hour GP sessions per week, at a rate of ?65 per hour.

But after nine months, the SHA expects the extra hours to 'pay for themselves' as practices attract more patients and boost global sum pay.

Andrew McDonald, assistant director of primary care contracts for the SHA, said: 'Ultimately we want all practices in north-east London open when it is convenient to patients.'

He said not all practices would be expected to open until 8pm, but 'a substantial minority' would extend hours on some days.

GPC negotiator Dr Peter Holden said that GPs who take part in the scheme would be 'cutting their own throats'.

If practices took on more patients, extra global sum pay would cover treating them in normal hours but would not be enough to pay for staff to work longer, he said.

'The global sum is for 52 hours a week. If you're working 60 hours, you should get 60 hours' money,' Dr Holden said.

He added that GPs could reasonably expect out-of-hours rates if they worked late. North East London SHA has started to roll out the scheme.

Two practices in Waltham forest are offering extended hours between 8am and 7pm on weekdays but are not being paid for them now that their year-long pilot is over. A pilot practice in Redbridge is opening between 8am and 8pm seven days a week and is being paid.

In Tower Hamlets PCT, 10 further practices have extended opening hours for ?120 per hour.

Grange Park Medical Practice, also in North East London SHA, had planned to open longer but has ruled it out because there is no extra pay.

GPs at the Yalding Surgery in Kent! , who ex tended their hours without extra funds, said they needed extra funds to continue.

We can cleanse vital organs like our colons, livers, kidneys, gall bladders and blood using good information that is readily available in health literature.

We change the oil, fuel, filters, and fluids in our cars because they become contaminated and will cause problems if we don't adhere to factory scheduled maintenance procedures. Does it make less sense to do the same for our own bodies? If we won't do the maintenance ourselves, who will do it? In truth, there are health practices around the world, where the focus is detoxification and body maintenance. Look for information about cleansing and detoxification.

Cleansing can be an unpleasant experience, like medicine was in the first half of the last century, or like shoveling out the family outhouse before indoor plumbing. Once you have done it, you notice improvements in all kinds of health complaints and regular maintenance is much more pleasant. After major cleansing, dietary cleansing is both attractive and effective.

Unless we enjoy cleansing and we might, it makes sense to reduce our exposure to environmental poisons. Common sense tells us we are usually much less exposed if we do not live in cities, where poisons are much more highly concentrated. No matter where we choose to live, we can do a lot to reduce our exposure in our home environment.

We can buy effective filters to remove chlorine from our household water supply, for a relatively low cost. Because we bathe in hot water that opens our pores and breathe the steam from hot water, especially in showers, it is better to filter the entire supply than to simply clean our drinking water. No matter what public water utilities say, they are not to be trusted. They usually poison your water to protect you from bacteria and virus. Trading biological poisons for chemical poison is the height of foolishness. Filtration systems vary widely in price and th! e range of toxins they will remove from utility water. There are very good drinking water systems at a reasonable cost and fairly easy to maintain. Many health authorities claim distilled water is the best for drinking. Distillers are usually electric and require about 2500 watts per gallon. Solar distillers are available in various capacities and can be home built.

Rainwater is good for plants, laundry and household cleaning. Everyone should collect and store rainwater, which can also be used as an emergency drinking supply after proper filtering. Silver filters are more costly but kill living pathogens and only add small amounts of desirable silver to the water. Homemade colloidal silver, much cheaper than the commercial product, can be added to filtered rain water and left standing to provide safe water from rainwater. There are now excellent camp/survival filter systems at reasonable cost for rain, pond or stream water, even filtered gray water. This should be one of the first items in a home or mobile survival kit.

Ionizers do a good job of cleaning inside air and contribute to a sense of well being in humans and animals. They are reasonably priced and require little maintenance. Certain plant varieties also cleanse indoor air and add daytime oxygen. If you are building a tightly sealed house or sealing an older one for energy conservation or protection from chemical and biological contaminants, a houseful of plants is a good idea. Many plants can provide food as well as oxygen. Oxygen rich environments also appear to provide beneficial health effects. I believe New Age housing should be live-in greenhouses. I also believe a year's supply of nuts, grains and seeds should be stored under vacuum in the home, for emergency food.

I was recently contemplating the news that childhood obesity and overweight is an increasing health problem in America. Then in a little TV magazine piece, I heard a scientist say that overweight is a biological protection against famine. Fat people can more easily su! rvive a year with scarce food and thin people die. Could America's weight problem be a soon needed survival tool and famine prediction? Still, I would prefer to have the food on hand than on body.

M.D.s and other health professionals are leaving establishment medicine for wholistic health practices. They are making amazing discoveries about natural health and the lack thereof. Many report the very latest health discoveries in monthly newsletters that you can subscribe to for about $40 per year. Many have also written books that can be had for free in public libraries. Investing in health news is much better than investing in fraudulent health insurance. People will catch on as private and public insurance programs fail, due to ineffective treatments at unreasonable prices.

Once we learn to protect our own health and that of those for whom we are responsible, we will only need professional help for trauma, and not always in that situation. There are for instance, natural substances we can keep in our medicine cabinets that stop internal hemorrhaging.

The great thing about self care is that we can learn it from professionals and we can learn it from each other. Just organizing the information alone will provide profitable work for many in this New Age.

Injections How Much is an ml cc IU?

In many countries, steroids are legal and even can be purchased over the counter. As a results many of these injectable anabolics are administered by the user. Below is information aiding in the conversion of such drugs. This article does not endorse the use of illegal drugs.

I. U.= international unit. This is a unit used to measure the activity (that is, the effect) of many vitamins and drugs. For each substance to which this unit applies, there is an international agreement specifying the biological effect expected with a dose of 1 IU. Other quantities of the substance are then expressed as multiples of this standard. This also means that this measurment is not based on sheer volume or weight of the substance, but rather the effect.

ml = milliliter. This is a VOLUME measurement. it is 1/1000 of a liter. when talking about water or similar liquids, it is equivelant to one cubic centimeter.

cc = cubic centimeter. This is also a VOLUME measurement. Most syringes measure their capacity in cc's. If you have a 5cc syringe, it will hold ~5ml of liquid in it.

mg = milligram. This is a WEIGHT measurement. It is 1/1000 of a gram. the amount of chemical substance is often measured in milligrams. For injectable solutions, this will be reported as a concentration of weight to volume, such as mg/ml (milligrams per milliliter). In the case of orally administered substances, the weight of chemical is labeled, athough the actual weight of the pill/capsule may be much higher, because of the use of filler substances. This means that a small pill may be much more potent than a large pill, so don't judge a pill based on its size, but the actual amount of substance for which it is labeled as.

mcg = microgram = 1/1000 of a mg (milligram) There are one thousand micrograms in one milligram.

Conversion factors:
1000 mcg (microgram) = 1 mg (milligram)
1000 mg (milligram) = 1 g (gram)
1000 g (gram) = 1 kg (kilogram)
1000 ml (milliliter) = 1 liter
1ml (water) = 1cc (wat! er)
1ml (oil) ~ 1cc (oil) (~ denotes approximately equal to)

Examples putting it all together

Say a user has some Drug XYX from two different companies. One is 'XYX-300' from QV, and one from BM which is 'XYZ-100'. Both of these are XYZ DRUG, but they have different concentrations. What this means is....

for the XYZ-300:
if you take 1 ml (one milliliter) of this solution, it will take up ~1cc (one cubic centimeter) of space in the syringe. There will be 300mg (three hundred milligrams) of XYZ in this dosage.

for the XYZ-100:
if you take 1 ml (one milliliter) of this solution, it will take up ~1cc (one cubic centimeter) of space in the syringe. There will be 100mg (one hundred milligrams) of XYZ in this dosage.

If you put the syringes side by side, they appear the exact same, so what is the difference? the XYZ-300 has a concentration of 300mg/ml, while the XYZ-100 only has a concentration of 100mg/ml. This means that the syringe with XYZ-300 has three times (3x) the amount of DRUG XYZ in the same exact volume as the syringe with XYZ-100.

Smoking Cessation: An Opportunity For Commercial Improvement

Impact Of Smoking On The Business When we consider the impact of smoking on a business we need to consider three key areas of profitability, health of all employees and other people who visit our premises and company image.
Profitability is a major concern for all organisations that employ smokers:

  • 34 million working days are lost to British industry each year due to smoking related sick leave. After all, there are over 50 diseases associated with smoking, so the habit provides a lot of opportunities for sick leave. The cost to the employer is not just on sick pay but also lost productivity and output.
  • Professor Konrad Jamrozik of Imperial College London has estimated that exposure to second hand smoke in the workplace causes around 617 premature deaths in the UK each year.
  • A Canadian study (Health Canada, Smoking and the bottom line, Canada, 1997) showed that the average annual reduction in productivity per employee who smokes is ?1,085, increased absenteeism costs ?115, additional insurance ?37, and smoking areas cost ?42 (figures that have significantly inflated over the last 10 years).
The cost of supporting a smoking environment is significant and many companies fail to realise how this impacts the bottom line:

  • Smoking breaks cause interruptions to work flow and can account for one lost day per week.
  • Smokers introduce additional costs for cleaning and redecorating.
  • Cost of space for smoking rooms if used.
  • Special ventilation is required if smoking rooms are used.
  • Increased premiums for health and fire insurance with up to 14% of medical costs related to smoking.
  • Increased litigation risks.
Proposals are in place to prohibit smoking in most workplaces in England during 2007. However, Scotland and Ireland have already banned smoking in all indoor workplaces.

Impact Of Smoking On Employees

A staggering 13! million adults still smoke in the UK and whilst the overall trends show the number of smokers are declining, there is a large incidence of smoking amongst younger people. Unfortunately 1 in 2 of these smokers will die of smoking related illnesses.

Staff morale amongst non-smokers is an issue as they consider they receive fewer breaks and have to cover for the time lost by smokers. This often causes resentment towards smoker colleagues. 86% of all employees and interestingly 73% of smokers believe that smoking should be restricted at work (Lader D. and Meltzer H. Smoking related behavior and attitudes. Office for National Statistics 2001).

Smoking affects employees on several levels as summarised below, any one of which can impact their performance at work.

Health deteriorates

  • Heart attack risk increases threefold.
  • Risk of heart disease increases by 70%.
  • Cause 90% of lung cancers.
  • Responsible for a proliferation of other cancers.
  • Risk of type 2 diabetes increases by 2 to 3 times.
  • Cause 1 in 3 deaths by 2020.
  • Cause 13 deaths / hour in the UK.
Reduces sexual performance

  • Reduced stamina.
  • Risk of impotence in men increased by 50% (30 ? 50 years of age).
  • Fertility reduced to 72% in women (compared to non smokers).
  • Pregnant women pass effects to unborn children.
Changes appearance

  • Premature wrinkles around eyes and mouth.
  • Skin becomes dry due to reduced blood circulation.
  • Fingers become tobacco stained.
  • Teeth become stained brown and increased risk of gum disease.
  • Smell of tobacco on clothes, car, house and office.
Suppresses appetites

  • Taste buds suppressed leading to unbalanced diets.
Damages children

  • Children are three times more likely to ! smoke if their parents smoke.

  • Reliance on the temporary calming effects of smoking to avoid issues and reduce stress.
Corporate Benefits Of No Smoking
Any organisation that introduces a support programme for smokers as well as initiating a no smoking policy, is likely to experience significant gains in productivity and workplace attendance. These gains far outweigh the costs of any smoking cessation programme and include:

  • Reduced employee sick days due to heart disease, lung cancer, aggravation of asthma, decreased coughing, and reduction of respiratory complaints.

  • The supportive attitude to employee welfare stimulates reciprocal positive attitudes from employees and this helps smoker morale.

  • 71% of smokers want to quit (Lader D. and Meltzer H. Smoking related behavior and attitudes. Office for National Statistics 2001) and this goal is easier for them if their employer creates a smoke free environment and particularly if the employer introduces a smoke cessation programme.

  • Recognition amongst non?smokers that they will also benefit from elimination of passive smoking and seeing increased productivity from the new non-smoking colleagues improves the moral of non-smokers.

  • Creates the corporate image of a caring organisation and this opens doors with environmentally concerned customers.

  • Improved company image (both internally and externally) and possible incremental business from organisations that are environmentally aware.

  • Reduced risk of future legislation and we say future as the law concerning smoking in companies is not exactly crystal clear but that will change.
Employee Benefits Of Stopping Smoking
The most common reasons given for the lifestyle change to stop smoking are:-

  • Improved health and wellbeing.
  • Improved prospects of a long lif! e.

  • Improved physical appearance.
  • Improved job prospects.
  • Improved chances of a new relationship or marriage.
  • Improved chances of becoming pregnant.
  • Improved sex drive and performance.

Introducing A Smoking Cessation Policy
Smoking policies (according to ASH) are not about whether or not people smoke, but about when and where they smoke and whether their smoke affects others. Smoking in the workplace needs to be tackled like any other management challenge. Any smoking policy requires clear guidelines for all parties involved and we suggest a 5-stage process to establish this:

Employee Feedback ? Pre Stage

Carrying out an internal survey amongst employees to clearly establish attitudes and opinions of both smokers and non-smokers, together with opinions (if applicable) of unions, customers and suppliers. This survey provides a benchmark to assess the scale of the opportunities to be gained from the introduction of any smoking policy and treatment programme and also provides a yardstick against which to measure the future gains. A second analysis should establish the hard employee facts such as sick days for both smokers and non smokers.

Establish Dialogue With Employees

The survey is the starting point and the findings from this and the proposed course of action should be discussed with employees in order to ensure recommendations meet the needs of both the company and the employees. It is normal to set up a working party with representatives of both smoker and non-smoker employees. In establishing the policy framework it has to be remembered that we need to comply with Section 49 of the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978, which specifies that 12 weeks notice is required of ch! anges to working conditions.
It is also worth noting that restrictions on smoking do not relate to a factor inherent to a person, such as age, gender, colour or social class, but to a voluntary activity. In this respect it is wrong to claim that they are discriminatory.

Finalise The Policy

Any smoking policy is likely to go through a few iterations before it is acceptable to all parties. This time is well spent if later problems are to be avoided. The policy will be designed to comply with Section 2(2)(e) of the Health and Safety at Work ETC Act 1974 and will detail:

  • General principals of the policy.
  • Common area where smoking is not permitted.
  • Work areas where smoking is not permitted.
  • Any use of designated smoking rooms.
  • Smoking in company vehicles.
  • Unions / Health & Safety representatives.
  • Staff information.
  • Restrictions applied to visitors and temporary staff.
  • Adequate signage.
  • Recruitment policies.
  • Treatment programme to help smokers end smoking.
  • Enforcement of smoking policy.
  • Policy amendments.
Initiate The Policy And Communicate
Any policy should ideally go through two stages. Firstly a restriction on smoking, together with the introduction of a smoker programme to help them stop smoking and followed by a company wide smoking ban.
Companies should use their normal methods of communication to ensure the policy is clearly visible to all employees and visitors.
Employee Feedback ? Post Stage
It is beneficial to repeat the employee smoker survey 6 to 9 months after any change in policy and the commencement of company stop smoking treatments. This will enable organisations to measure the return on their investment, establish reduction in sick days and measure improvements in employee productivity and attitudes. It is also beneficial PR to use the findings to commun! icate th e environmentally friendly policy and caring attitude towards employees and visitors.
Support and Treatment
The introduction of any new smoking policy, should be accompanied by advice and support to enable smokers to quit, should they choose to do so. Simply ordering employees to stop smoking is short sighted, as their habit is driven by their addiction to nicotine, one of the most addictive substances known and more addictive than drugs such as cocaine.
There are many different methods and products on the market to help smokers to end their habit. The most popular are nicotine replacement therapies or using smokers helpline and counselling. Can Genital Herpes be Avoided?

Many kinds of diseases, especially sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like genital herpes, can be avoided if a person is conscientious enough in practicing health habits. For genital herpes, the adage ?an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure? is appropriate. In fact, there is no vaccine against genital herpes.

Abstinence is definitely the most effective way of avoiding genital herpes and any other STDs. Having no sexual contact with anyone assures you that you will never be exposed to genital herpes.

However, abstinence can never be the choice of many people. And so, the next best thing is fidelity. It means that you must maintain a strictly monogamous relationship with a partner who has no genital herpes. This must be a two-way street. That is, you don?t have multiple sex partners, and your partner doesn?t maintain other sex partners. Having several sexual adventures may turn out to be nightmares in the end.

Unfortunately, finding one true love could be a trial and error process for some people. And so, to avoid genital herpes, the third best thing is being responsible. That is, you must practice safe sex.

Before starting a sexual relationship with a new partner, talk about STDs. It is probably not the most scintillating and romantic topic you could think of, but it is a vital one. Find out if your potential sex partner may have been exposed to the HSV virus. Having blisters and sores in the genital area and in the lips and mouth are hazardous signs. But you must also remember the fact that a person infected with HSV or any STD may never show any symptom. Thus, find out about your potential partner?s lifestyle, health history and sex history. If you are the 100th partner, think twice before consulting to a more intimate relationship. Prowess acquired due to experience may not always be a good thing.

Safe sex also means the use of condoms. Condoms, even if used properly, do not entirely prevent the transmission of genital herpes. But th! ey do re duce the risk of acquiring STDs. Sometimes, the sores of genital herpes spread to the anus, the buttocks, and the thighs. These areas could not be covered by condoms. If your sex partner has genital herpes and the sores are limited to a small area, then either male or female condoms can be used. But let us reiterate that condoms do not offer 100% protection.

If pregnant, do everything in your power to avoid HSV infection, so that you do not endanger the health and life of your newborn.

If you are already infected with genital herpes, then have mercy and give others the chance to avoid your disease: avoid any sexual contact.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #2

Welcome to lesson #2. First of all, I believe that gratitude is so important in everyday life. With this in mind, I am in awe at the response for this ezine and I want to thank you for trusting the process and believing in yourself. When I woke up the next day after setting this up and saw the number of people who subscribed, I broke down in tears. I owe everything I have created to God. He led me to do this and through Him I will help you. I am here to be the light for you to know that you already possess the wholeness within. We have several layers that we will be uncovering. You will then be able to make new choices in your quest for weight loss and be putting daily plans for yourself in place. You will be amazed at the difference. My intention is that you get results!

As we proceed through each lesson, I will be reviewing some of the content in the previous lessons as well to recap. Hey, it doesn?t hurt for you to hear information over and over again, does it? Remember it takes 21 days to create a habit. In lesson #1, we discussed how everything is made up of energy. Your thoughts are pure energy. Whatever you put out, is what you will get back. The Law of Attraction is set up and will manifest those things in your life which you attract with your thoughts. Changing your thoughts will be your greatest challenge. It was for me and it took daily effort to do so. When you look at your life currently, what have you attracted with your thoughts? If you?re overweight, then what do you believe about yourself? If you believed that you could actually lose weight, these thoughts would have been released into the Universe to produce a completely different response.

I mentioned previously Louise Hay?s book, You Can Heal Your Life, and in it she talks about how anger is the core issue of weight issues. Now, did you do your homework assignment? The homework assignment was to write down those people in your life who you?re angry with and remember you can include yourself. You ! were als o supposed to write down what they did that made you angry.

For me, I didn?t feel love from either parent, but I had such a special bond with my father so I held on to his energy in a more devastating way in my body. My father died when I was fourteen, and there?s an entire story behind that one in an e-book, Close Kept Secrets to Overcoming Illness. I felt responsible for his life and for his death and that book will detail everything about how I attracted a horrific illness because I carried so much negative energy in me relating to childhood. With this in mind, I carried anger at not feeling loved and having the childhood I believed I deserved.

Okay, ready to release that anger? First, I want to explain the process. As an integrative body therapist, I work with clients face-to-face or over the telephone to help release their pain using Rapid Eye Technology and Emotional Freedom Techniques. Energy is energy and can be utilized all over the world. I did hear from a subscriber that she felt tingly all over after this process so it does work. We?re on this journey together being supported by God. It is similar to prayer energy?the person doesn?t have to be right there in order to see that prayer works.

What is Rapid Eye Technology (RET)? It?s a technology which was developed to help release pain and trauma so that a person can experience love and joy on a deeper level. It stimulates the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep cycle, a natural release process. Your eyes flutter when you are in REM sleep similar to watching a baby sleep and this is where the release process takes place. How many of you have experienced waking up in the middle of the night remembering that you were supposed to do something? This is your brain at work for you while you sleep. Well, in RET, you?re awake and you?re processing and releasing your stuff. There?s also guided imagery, charka clearing, affirmations and life skills which are part of this process as well. RET is great for balancing left and rig! ht brain s because the left brain has to know why whereas the right brain sees the positive/spiritual aspect of the world. In addition, we?ll be using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). The premise of this technique is that when one experiences a negative emotion like anger, there is a disruption in the body?s energy system resulting in various symptoms. EFT is similar to acupuncture without the needles.

When I work with clients, we go through six to twelve sessions. Depending upon the amount of stuff one is carrying will determine how long the duration of the sessions so just keep this in mind. The results are absolutely amazing as the person feels lighter after releasing.

These processes address the underlying cause of most weight issues?the need to tranquilize with food the anxiety which is felt by you with unresolved emotional issues. Until one?s underlying issue is dealt with, the need to overeat will continue. This is why many weight loss programs fail over the long term. People may lose weight using them but since the underlying emotional issue is still there, the need to medicate feelings through food will ever be present. It has been my experience in working with people who are overweight that the underlying emotion has to be released in order for new choices to be made; otherwise they will just revert back.

Right now, sit back and think about your anger. Judge where you are on a scale! of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) with your anger that we spoke about earlier?who you?re mad at and why. Now, if you?re not feeling anger, then identify if it?s sadness, guilt or shame.

Release Process

State your intention for what you want out of your personal session and ask God, angels or your guides for assistance. If uncomfortable emotions surface, acknowledge them by writing down what you?re feeling. Read the entire process (you'll be doing several things) to the end of the ezine before proceeding.

1) Get comfortable in a chair or on the couch. Find two spots. One in each corner of the room at eye level.

2) Move your eyes to the left and right as rapidly as possible for the intent to release (as you move your eyes from left to right, look up at the seam between the ceiling and the wall and then slowly move your gaze downward to the seam between the wall and the floor, then return to eye level. It?s like a ?zigzag? sequence.

3) After several seconds of this, open your eyes wide and then scrunch them closed as you breathe in and out. Do this no more than three times.

4) If the emotion still seems strong, return to step 2 and begin again. Only do this process twice.

5) Open your mouth wide and take a big breath, hold it in a second and then blast the energy out to dissolve in the light. Do this three times.

While you?re doing the above process, you can say the following while moving your eyes:

Release all trauma/Release all the anger/Release all the sadness/Release all the frustration/Release all the grief/Release all the helplessness/Release all the hopelessness/Release all pity/Release all the poor me/Release it.

Energy Realignment

Tap the pressure points outlined below with the first two fingers (index and middle fingers) on your hand 7-10 times while repeating the phrases below. Here?s some you can use or you can make up your own to make it unique to your situation.

You?ll always fill in the blank and then complete the stateme! nt with the same phrase.

1) Beginning of the eyebrow towards your nose

3) Under center of eye on cheekbone (either eye)
4) Under nose
5) Under bottom lip
6) Right below the collarbone (either collarbone)
7) Under the arm, about 4 inches below the arm pit (either arm)
8) Tap all over the top of head for good energy flow
9) Form a fist and rub in the clockwise motion over your heart

They visualize themselves being triumphan! t. This is what separates those who are successful and those who still are presented with challenges. You must believe yourself as if you have already are at your desired weight.

With this in mind, it?s important to use these as if they are already occurring. Once you do this, you will manifest and attract exactly what you focus your thoughts on. Use these or create your own and say them throughout the day?several times a day. It works to put them on sticky notes or 3x5 cards so you?re reminded to do them. Place them on your refrigerator, your mirror?..any place that is visible.

Easy Fitness For Time Crunched Moms

Moms have a tough time. They are the cook, the maid, the taxi driver, the teacher, the referee, and the list could go on. Mom?s know how to get everything done for everyone else, but by doing this they often don?t take care of themselves. There is no question that it is hard; children keep parents on the go, it is difficult to do the things you?d like to do.

They can squeeze in a last minute dentist appointment for little Teddy and show up without a moment to spare for a class play that little Tommy forgot to mention. Super mom can always find time to do whatever needs to be done to run a happy home for all of the occupants. School schedules, car pools and after school activities combined with household chores and a full-time job doesn?t allow for much time to exercise. That is no longer good enough it is only an excuse.

Taking care of yourself with plenty of rest and exercise should just be one of those little things that you mark on the calendar and do. In fact, do it now. Mark in your day planner or on the dry-erase board your ?me-time.? Then, dust off that tennis racket and head on out for the courts with one of your girlfriends, or join a Fitness Center, or take up walking for overall health and fitness. Procrastination is a word that has no meaning for moms wanting to do something nice for their children, the same should apply for what you want or need to do.

Diversify your fitness schedule to include solo walks, tennis matches with girlfriends, and horseback riding with your husband. Be creative in planning your week ahead. If you know that on Monday you have to pick up your daughter from school at 3:00, but your son gets out at 2:30, make proper use of your time and throw your Nike shoes in a gym bag and walk while you wait. If your daughter has a volleyball practice 25 minutes across town at the high school, then take your swimsuit and use the school?s swimming pool to swim laps. Most schools don?t mind if you call ahead and some even offer free swims on certain days of the ! week.

The important thing for you to remember is that because you are a mom, you may have to jump in and take advantage of a thirty-minute window just to exercise. Be ready for these chances and learn to expect the unexpected and take care to use the time wisely. If the birthday party you son is at ends up being late, take the chance to walk once or twice around the block. When you get back you?ll have helped out your heart and your son will be ready to go.

It doesn?t take much except taking the opportunities to exercise when they present themselves.

You Can Stop Being Influenced by Food Ads

There is much in the news today about obesity and you can be assured that the food industry fully intends to place the blame squarely on the individual, despite the fact they spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year in an effort to entice us to buy more and more of their products. Children are especially vulnerable to the advertising for cereals, snack bars, crackers, cookies, candy, and fast foods. Colorful packaging, and now even colorful foods to encourage the little shoppers to badger their parents into buying the convenient snack packs for them. Mommy I want it is exactly the result advertisers are paying to obtain. They know that many adults will give in to the child's demands, just to keep the peace.

If you live in modern society, you can't escape advertising. How many times have you been happily minding your own business when suddenly the TV screen flashes a big, juicy, something! Your stomach may start gurgling, your mouth starts watering, and the launch sequence for hunger has begun. Once the countdown starts, nothing can stop the launch into the kitchen, or for the seriously dedicated, out the door to go get something to eat. This can happen only an hour after a big dinner. The ads are designed to do this, and they work well as we prove with our food dollars every day.

Count the Food Ads

Next time you watch TV keep a note pad nearby and make a little hash mark every time you see a commercial that encourages you to eat. You'll also notice there are certain ads that seem to trigger the hunger response more than others. What is it about those ads? Do you start to mentally taste the food? Does it remind you of happy occasions? It can even remind you of unhappy occasions which then drives you to want something to eat because you deserve it.

Notice whether it is the people in the ad, the message itself, the words they use, even the background music or scenery? See if you can pin-point what, exactly, it is about the ad! that dr aws you in. Notice what you don't like about ads that simply do not interest you. Play college student and do this as homework, and if you can get your kids to do it with you, all the better.

My son has come to me many times to tell me about something he's seen on TV and now wants me to buy. He gets caught up in the half hour infomercials and becomes so convinced their product is the single best thing, that it's difficult to change his mind.

Evenings are an especially rough time for dieters because of the over abundance of advertising for food. Seeing delicious things to eat can create the sensation of hunger until it becomes a patterned response. Turning on the TV then begins to make you hungry, even without the food cues.

7 Ways to Combat Evening Snacking Habit

1. Mute the commercials or switch to another channel (channel surfers already do this anyway). Not watching or hearing the ad can help enormously. Remember, out of sight, out of mind.

2. Use commercial break time to do housework. You'd be amazed at how much clutter you can clear in three or four minutes, and every hour you get at least four of these breaks.

3. Mute the ads and keep your hands busy until your show comes back on with a project like knitting, reading or finishing that book you've been writing.

4. Start a new business (then you're probably not in front of the TV anyway).

5. Step outside and breath some fresh air for a few minutes.

6. Exercise during the ads. Stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down, do this for a full minute. It's a great leg exercise. Use a kitchen chair rather than the couch to be kinder on your knees.

7. Move to another seat in the room. Sometimes just getting up from your usual spot in the room (the coach, or your favorite chair) and moving to another location can help, so can getting a glass of water. Sometimes it's thirst.

Be Willing to Experiment and You can Overcome the Allure of the Food Ads

The worst thing you can do is simply watch and ! then att empt to combat your growing desire to eat. Once the idea that you're hungry is planted, it becomes much more difficult to change your mind. Instead stop the idea from occurring in the first place by finding something else to do instead of watching another Burger King commercial.

Advertising only works when we're paying attention, either watching or listening. I've no quarrel with advertisers, I advertise my services too, but watching one hundred ads all featuring food after dinnertime is a bit much for anyone to endure. Food ads are designed for you to simply sit and be mesmerized by the flashing words, snappy slogans, colors and lights. Pay closer attention, or pay none at all, but either way you'll gain a much greater understanding of how advertising influences you.

Food Label Health Claims: Read Between the Lines

A few years ago the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) loosened restrictions on how much scientific proof is required before possible health benefits appear on food labels. For example, the FDA now allows sellers of certain nuts to claim that scientific evidence suggests, but does not prove, that eating 1.5 ounces per day of some nuts, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. Sellers of seafood that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids will be able to claim that their products prevent heart attacks, and so forth, so we will probably see a proliferation of these statements on food labels in the years ahead.

A manufacturer cannot claim that a product prevents heart attacks just because it contains nuts. For example, putting nuts in ice cream will not allow a manufacturer to claim that ice cream with nuts prevents heart attacks. The claims are supposed to help you understand that the specific food only helps to prevent heart attacks when a person does not take in too many calories, does not eat too much saturated and partially hydrogenated fats, and does eat lots of vegetables and other foods derived from plants. You cannot say that eating nuts prevents heart attacks, but you can say that eating nuts as part of a healthful diet helps to prevent heart attacks. When you see health claims on a food label, weigh them with your own common sense.

Acne is an embarrassing condition that causes millions of young people to feel self-conscious about their skin. Acne scarring is almost as embarrassing as actual pimples. Acne scarring is more likely to occur if you pick at your acne, irritating it and tearing the skin. Acne scars usually last for 4-12 months and then fade away as the old skin cells are sloshed off and new skin forms. This is not always the case however. 5. Rest... you need to take breaks during the day and sleep at night. Takes breaks away from work space to keep fresh and focused. Make sure you are getting sufficient sleep at night since your body regenerates while you are sleeping. If you are constantly letting your mind wonder make a conscious decision to put away thoughts till morning. It is amazing how good your subconscious mind listens to your conscious mind (so be careful what you tell yourself)

6. Do good. When you do something for someone else without expecting anything in return you benefit in ways unimaginable. (the key is don't expect anything in return)

7. Exchange... the money you spend on junk food for food that will enrich your body and soul. Start with a simple plan of exchange. Because some think healthy foods cost more, find out your spending pattern by making 2 lists:

. foods you like that are junk food that you normally buy

calculate the cost of the 2nd list then use this amount to fund your healthy purchase. (of course you have to say bye-bye to the junk food)

8. Stop and smell the roses. Look for good in everythin! g. This is a toughie because most of us are trained to look for faults, errors, shortcomings, defects, etc. Begin with yourself. List all your assets (not just physical). Then realize all the good in being you. Move on to other things around you. Work on this consciously every day till it becomes a habit. There is something good about everything and everyone. Once you realize this you will be finding good everywhere without even trying.

9. Learn... something new every day. Pick up a book. or search online. Learn to do something you have always wanted to do. You can even start for free by researching online. Search the subject and start stimulating and enriching your mind today.

10. Reward yourself. Set financial and personal goals and tag them with rewards for accomplishing them. (this one may be something special you have always wanted to do. and not necessarily a purchase.. But if you have done all the above maybe go ahead and splurge a little. You deserve it!

General Aspects about Scabies

Scabies is a very common condition and it can be developed by anyone. Scabies is an infection of the skin that causes bumps, nodules or blisters due to infestation with tiny mites. The common signs of scabies are inflammation, itching, rash and the presence of tiny burrows on the surface of the skin.

Scabies in people occurs due to infestation with microscopic mites called Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Once they find a human host, these tiny mites crawl onto the skin and shelter in the less exposed areas of the body. The female parasite mites burrow deep into the skin and lay their eggs. After a while, larvae emerge and climb to the surface of the skin. They continue to mature and break through the skin when they are fully developed.

Scabies are very contagious and can affect anyone. The mites can easily be transmitted through physical contact. Scabies are very common in children and elderly people. The infestation with scabies mites is facilitated by crowded conditions and children in nursing homes, kindergartens and schools are more exposed to contracting the condition. Good personal hygiene can?t prevent scabies from occurring. Even though proper hygiene can delay the occurrence of some symptoms of scabies, it can?t stop the condition from developing.

The most common symptoms of scabies are itching, inflammation, rash, pustules, blisters and nodules. The itching can be severe and it usually intensifies at night. It can lead to infections that are difficult to heal. Scabies mostly affects the skin on the hands and feet and the parasite mites tend to hide between the fingers or under the nails. Scabies can also affect other regions of the body, such as the neck, chest, back, armpits, wrists, elbows, buttocks and the genital area. The skin affected by scabies is exposed to infection with bacteria. Scabies can lead to impetigo, a serious bacterial skin infection that is difficult to treat. Also, people can develop allergic reactions to the mites? feces and secretions, containing sub! stances that are toxic to the human body.

Scabies can become very serious if it isn?t discovered in time. Although most of its symptoms can be misleading in establishing the appropriate diagnose, scabies can be revealed by careful physical examinations. Address yourself to a doctor when you first spot the symptoms of scabies. If the doctor reveals the presence of scabies mites within the skin, he will prescribe an appropriate treatment for dealing with the infestation.

The treatment for scabies usually consists of medical creams, lotions and ointments. These are locally applied on the entire skin, not only on the areas that are visibly affected by scabies. The local treatment should remain on the skin for 8-12 hours and should be reapplied after washing. Scabies can be overcome within the first week of treatment and the inflammation will heal in time. If it is left untreated, the condition can become very serious and therefore it is advised to ask for medical help as soon as you spot the symptoms of scabies.

The Clock And The Mirror

These two are the most deceptive devices we know. However, they are here for humanity to ?overcome?.

Our mirrors show us the reflection of the reflection. The clock is ticking away a time-line that does not exist.

When Genesis speaks of 6 days, it relates to us the importance of ranking, or priorities, not of ?time? (one time in appearance, vs. many times of appearances). Else, there is only ?THIS DAY?, consistent of moments, or snap shots, whether we see it as an eternity, a year, an hour, or thousands of years.

During every millisecond, what exists in the visible image of the world flickers in and out, just like a pulse, and is willing to arrange itself all renewed, or replenished around a focused thought, at any given moment. This image of the physical world includes the image we have of ourselves.

When we read everywhere around us that we are FAT, because we eat the ?WRONG? foods, it is NOT TRUE.

In movies, we have seen ghosts appear as a transparent, more silhouette-like shiny substance. When the ghosts, or Spirits in these moving images eat, or drink, it goes right through them and does NOT AFFECT the spiritual substance at all. It ends on the ground, and does not stick with the shiny substance.

This is reality.

Nothing(!) we drink, eat, or smoke affects our spiritual substance (Isaiah 54:17). Our Father made us from the DUST of the earth. Where in that dust are ?fat?, ?lean?, ?vitamins?, or ?enzymes??

God is IMMEASURABLE, and CANNOT be dissected into His parts. He is more than we will ever be able to fully comprehend, and the sum of His parts is ever greater than what our scientists are trying to tell us.

When we like to drink a lot of wine, we ?PRAY FOR A STRONG LIVER?! That is the spirit of Purim, the feast where they dress up in costumes, and empty larger wine bottles.

Do no longer be mislead! Your shape is untouchable by any physical, or worldly influence. You are the individuated mind that can RE-SHAPE yourself in any way you wish! , for ca usation power is exclusive to God?s mind, the mind YOU command. This replenishing includes your ?AGE? as well as your ?HEALTH?.

Begin from within by telling yourself that ?you are gorgeous, wonderful, amazing and attractive? at any moment you look into your mirrors. If you don?t have the strength just yet, simply remove all the mirrors, or go often to the OUTDOORS, where it?s easier to go within.

Her closest family members were extremely embarrassed, and considered putting her out of sight for a while, when one beautiful morning, as she descended from her upstairs bed room to join them for a meal, her goiter had become invisible.

How long did she have to keep the faith until her bothersome condition dis-appeared? 3 years.

Now, you know THAT it is possible. And it applies to all parts of our image, gray hair, fat rolls, spots, scars, knots, as much as new shapes of buttocks, hips, and legs, even the new morphological looks of so-called inherited faces, including profiles.

How do I know this? ! Because I have been inspired with the understanding of it, from within.

The generation #42, according to Matthew (count down yourself in the first book and find that Jesus is #41) is called the ?last? generation. Why ?last? generation? When we realize that we can re-shape everything about ourselves, and be eternally young, the ?GENERATION? of new beings has been concluded. We no longer need to see a better ?tomorrow? through our children. We can form the better ?tomorrow? right this moment, and for ourselves.

You can do it all on your own. Just believe, or BE the newly shaped 27-year-old person, and leave the rest to Him, the one who made us to be His legitimate children and to manage all His power, so He can ?retire? in paternal pride over us.
